Z1 Athletics
ABOUT US
I wanted to start a business that made a difference in the youth and gave my children something that they can continue to grow as they become older. The Z in Z1 Athletics represents my name, Zack, as well as all of my kids names, Zack (Rashaan), Zayden(Deuce) and Zander(Bubba).
The 1(not 7) is symbolic because I wore the number playing sports, which I then made a lineage of with all 3 of my sons wearing the number in their sports careers.
I first became attached to the number from watching Warren Moon, But the guy that made it "my number" was Penny Hardaway. I modeled my game on the court like him, and to top it off everyone called me Penny back then because I was told I looked so much like him.
Now it stands for everything we strive for, and that's to: BE THE ONE
Coaching has been something I have done since my oldest was 3. Having success with teams and improving kids while I coached has always went hand and hand. Because of this I started training my oldest, as well as a couple of his friends/teammates, to improve their skills for basketball. Once I saw how well they performed with limited training, I made a decision to offer my services to kids, and anybody that wanted to be trained, for skill improvement.
Training my 2 younger kids is now what proves how I view how successful my training is, as was the case with my oldest son. I have also decided to brand my kids and myself because this logo and brand is what we are and what we stand for, so we will also be bringing merchandise and apparel to the world. With athletics being a big part of our lives, so much so that my oldest son is going to be a personal trainer and has his hand in nutrition as well. My 2 youngest are apart of every training session in one way or another. Together we make up Z1 Athletics.
